History
St. Pius X High School at Nahur, Mulund (West), was established by Rev. Fr. Valerian Godinho in 1970. Nahur village needed an English Medium School and the need became more essential when he built the St. Pius X Housing Colony there. A true educationist, he understood the situation and promised to give the residents of the area an excellent English Medium School with all the necessary facilities as well as a huge playground.
St. Pius X School is a Christian School administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mumbai. The School is under the religious jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Mumbai.
THE SCHOOL MOTTO
'LIGHTED TO ENLIGHTEN’To instill an awareness of God’s love, there is an emphasis on:
1. Devotion to God, reaching out to mankind spiritually and physically whenever possible and necessary.
2. The teaching of Catholic doctrine to Catholic students and Morals/Ethics to others are taken up with loyalty and a sense of responsibility. Catholic students are responsible to school authorities for the due performance of their religious duties. They are expected to practice monthly confession, to assist at Mass daily if possible and to attend Masson every First Friday of the month. They are further encouraged to join the different parochial associations.

The primary purpose of the School is to provide Catholic Education for Catholic boys. However, pupils of other denominations are also admitted and their religious feelings and freedom of conscience are duly respected without sacrificing the Christian character of the Institution. Thorough attention is given to the moral and spiritual formation of all, besides academic, social and physical development.
It comprises ten standards and prepares pupils for the Secondary School Certificate (S. S. C.) Examination of the State of Maharashtra.
The Course of Studies is according to the syllabus laid down by the Department of Education, Maharashtra State.
